"This plant only blooms two months a year, And only at night. Each bud, only once. These Flowers will be dead by morning, and tomorrow night, new buds will bloom, and then they'll die. In three weeks this entire plant will be dead. And in spring, I'll have to plant a whole new Moonflower" - Jamie (Amelia Eve)

A Moonflower from Mike Flanagan's 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' (2020)
.
In episode 6 'The Jolly Corner', Jamie (Amelia Eve) Takes Dani (Victoria Pedretti) into the woods to show her Moonflowers.
At the end of the series, Dani Presents a Moonflower to Jamie to symbolize that even though love and life can be fleeting, painful, and an exhausting effort (like the flower that blooms once at night and dies by morning), someone special, like Dani, can be worth that immense effort and pain, offering a glimpse of rare beauty and connection, which is a metaphor for their own precious but short-lived love.
.
